A Conservatory to Use All Year Round
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
STURMINSTER NEWTON
The existing PVCu Conservatory had been constructed with a basic roof design which has suffered by leaks and draughts. This conservatory roof was not expected to further withstand the passage of time but the side elevations were in good order.
The glazing was not Heat Reflective or incorporating Thermal Efficiency during the winter months.
It is seen that the conservatory rear was attached to the property with a box gutter. This was replaced with a Thermally Efficient Structural Architectural Aluminium Box Gutter. It was weathered into the property with appropriate flashing and lay boards fitted beneath the lower rows of roof tiles.
Neutral Easi-Clean Heat Reflective Glass was chosen rather than a darker blue. This incorporated Easi-Clean and High Specification Low ‘E’ so that the structure could be more comfortably used throughout the year.
As with many older conservatories, the floor was of basic construction. This was re-built and insulation introduced. New flooring laid and latex, following by a very durable and attractive Karndean Flooring, which was extended into the kitchen, thereby creating a very attractive overall appearance and not least of all durability with good insulation below.
