BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

This project was constructed onto an older style property nestling within one of South Dorset’s attractive villages not far from Lulworth and Durdle Door.

The desire was to not only extend the very small kitchen into the superb garden but provide a family dining area.

The Tiled Roof was constructed as our customers wishes were to make this an extended area for the home, rather than a Fully Glazed Conservatory.

Velux Windows were introduced and extensive glazing in the side elevations to ensure a light bright pleasant atmosphere. The overall dimensions and design were carefully prepared, so that this structure very much looked to be part of the original home, rather than add-on. Materials used for the roof tiles and dwarf wall also took this fully into consideration. To ensure the small original kitchen was fully extended into the new structure, a large area of the rear elevation was removed and appropriate steel RSJ Lintols were introduced.

It was clear that the already very attractive would be looked on considerably more , hence this had to be completely re-constructed. Stone dwarf walls appropriate pavings were chosen and we were delighted to have constructed another Open Plan Home Extension, which was not only very pleasing to our customers but a delight for us to have been involved with.

Planning Permission and Building Regulations were required together with Structural & Heat Loss Calculations, as would always be the case for such a construction. The important challenge was that it should be overall designed so that this new structure flowed into the original property and small kitchen. At completion, all concerned felt very comfortable that this had been fully achieved.

This structure was not only pleasing to our customers but a delight for us to be have been involved with. This explains that when new customers approach us, they are often new exciting and times demanding challenges. I believe that the way in which we have successfully responded to these, has resulted in my company having traded continuously and successfully for over 40 years.
