BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

The next challenge was introduction of steel RSJ’s to provide structural support.

Most importantly, the very latest Low E Heat Retentive Glass was provided, so that this new large glazed area did not require excessive additional heating.

Powder Coated Thermally Separated Architectural Aluminium very much complimented the property and substantial Bi-Folding Doors to open up this new area into the attractive garden further enhancing the overall design.

On this occasion Planning Permission was not required, as Current Permitted Development is very generous. However, Building Control, Structural & Heat Loss Calculations certainly were and all of these were, which we provided within our overall design and construction package.

The historic building is a very successfully managed family hotel and the conservatory is used for numerous functions, the gardens are absolutely splendid and would have originally been created by the nuns. My wife and I regularly visit the wonderful Purbeck Hills as do many of our friends who have viewed our craftsmanship, plus people we have recommended to visit and many favourable comments.

It will be seen that the structure has a lead lined roof which was very heavy, appropriate structural support was introduced during reconstruction. was carried out.

I would thoroughly recommend a visit to this splendid hotel and restaurant and it will also provide an opportunity to view the quality of our workmanship.
