A fully insulated warm roof

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

Heating Conservatory

PERRETT – NEW FOREST

The original structure was built by ourselves in high specification Architectural Aluminium some 20 years ago.

Although structurally sound and very well used within the property, the new owners desired a fully tiled insulated warm roof.

Drawings were prepared and it was important that the proposed new tiles would run into the existing roof so that the structure looked like part of the original building.

A conventional timber roof with rafters and eaves beams plus ridge was constructed after the glass and aluminium framework had been removed.  Full insulating Celotex was introduced into the roof followed by a plastered vaulted ceiling.

Weathered slate tiles were sourced, so that they had the same character as those in the principal roof, together with ridge capping and finally lead valleys where the new roof abutted old.

This delightful property is in the heart of the splendid New Forest and is much visited, as there is a superb craft workshop within the garden.  We are delighted that many people who have seen the original structure, made favourable comments with regards to our workmanship and not least of all, how the structure very much give the impression of always having been there.

The Red Chute Inn, which is very close by and only a short drive from another popular venue, The High Corner Inn.
